Thistle Bond is a high performance plaster based bonding agent which is used to smoothen out low suction backgrounds. This bond plays a mechanical key role for the coarser aggregate particle. Thistle Bond is applied only once and subsequently dried. The bond is applied using a roller. The color of the bond is light green, this provides an ease for the identification of the backgrounds.
Once the Thistle Bond is applied and has been dried, Gyproc bonding coat is applied to get a flat surface. The bond requires no dilution thereby eliminating the errors made during mixing. The Thistle Bond is made up of fine size particle giving a good mechanical and chemical adhesion. The color is bright and light making it easy for identification of the uncoated area. The Thistle Bond comes in a tub size of 10 liters. The bond plays an important role in maintain the porosity and density level of backgrounds.
